Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an IT Specialist on behalf of our client, a manufacturing organization with global operations. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Camas, WA, with occasional local travel to a nearby production facility in East Vancouver. The position is initially temporary with the potential for permanent conversion based on performance and business needs.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The IT Specialist will be responsible for delivering hands-on technical support across end-user systems, infrastructure, networking, and Microsoft 365 environments. This is an onsite support role with a strong focus on endpoint troubleshooting, systems administration, and project-based infrastructure maintenance. The ideal candidate is a highly capable self-starter with 3–5 years of professional IT experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and clear communication abilities. The position requires occasional after-hours or weekend work for escalations and project deployments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of IT infrastructure and end-user support experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and Entra ID administration
  • Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and basic networking protocols
  • Effective troubleshooting abilities and clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work onsite full-time and lift up to 20 pounds when needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CompTIA Network+, Microsoft 365 Certified, or Azure Administrator certification
  • Familiarity with Fortinet or Meraki systems, PowerShell scripting, and remote support tools
  • Experience supporting domain or Microsoft tenant migrations
  • Understanding of virtualization tools and security best practices in enterprise environments
Responsibilities
  • Provide end-user support for global systems including Windows OS, Microsoft Office apps, VPN access, printers, and mobile devices
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, and peripherals in office and production environments
  • Administer Microsoft 365 tools including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, Azure AD, and Entra ID
  • Manage user accounts, licensing, and mobile device policies via Microsoft Intune
  • Support hybrid identity and domain migration projects
  • Maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and NTFS permissions
  • Monitor and configure networking systems including TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points
  • Respond to and document security alerts using IDS/IPS tools such as Darktrace and enforce MFA policies
  • Administer Windows Server (2016–2022), Hyper-V, and Veeam backup environments
  • Support patching, backup, compliance, and audit readiness
  • Maintain internal documentation and knowledge base content
  • Collaborate with team members across U.S., Mexico, and Ireland operations
  • Assist with IT infrastructure projects and contribute to long-term system improvement initiatives
