JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in IT support and a strong understanding of computer networking, desktop support, and software troubleshooting. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing exceptional support to our users. The Senior IT Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, maintaining network infrastructure, and collaborating with other IT professionals to enhance service delivery.

KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Significant experience in supporting an IT infrastructure, both cloud and on prem
  • Microsoft Windows server build, support, troubleshooting and upgrading (all versions)
  • Linux server build, support, troubleshooting and upgrading (all versions),
  • Azure, Microsoft Office 365, Entra, InTune and cloud system build and management of VMware and upgrade; config/build of guests/hosts to template and monitoring
  • Advanced Microsoft Windows desktop troubleshooting
  • Storage area network configuration and management, Switch management, hardware build, management and troubleshooting of HP and Dell systems
  • Microsoft Active Directory DNS and Group Policy management

EXPERIENCE

  • Familiarity with computer networking concepts, including LAN configurations and firewall management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with a keen attention to detail.
  • Additional skills:
  • Network knowledge, including management of firewall rules and Dell switches
  • Data loss prevention implementations and capacity management
  • Past experience in, and understanding of, software licensing
  • Awareness of current trends and technologies, with the ability to formulate technical solutions
