Description Our company is looking for an in-house Senior level Support Technician to manage and guide the support team and their efforts for our company and our affiliated partners. This person will guide the junior technicians efforts, install, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade computer hardware, software, applications, personal computer networks, peripheral equipment; assess user training needs and train users in effective use of applications; troubleshoot and fix problems with the company’s custom applications. Candidates must be flexible and excited about working in a fast paced team environment; Communication and organizational skills will be key to success. Responsibilities: Installs, configures and upgrades operating systems and software, using standard business and administrative packages; may modify specific applications for use in operational departments. Installs, assembles and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners and related hardware; pulls cables and rewires or directs the rewiring of cables as required for new installations and office reconfiguration. Troubleshoots problems with computer systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software, custom applications, e-mail, network and peripheral equipment problems; makes repairs and corrections where required Acts as a technical resource in assisting users to resolve problems with equipment and applications; staffs a centralized help desk solution. Respond to telephone calls, e-mails and personnel requests for technical support. Cleaning and maintenance of office wide Printers, faxes and Photocopy machines, etc. Able to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Requirements Experience: Minimum of 8 years previous experience in an IT Support Technician, or equivalent role. Fluent written and spoken English skills. Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills Able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
