We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior IT Technical Specialist to work as part of our IT / Technology Services Team.

The Technology Services team supports the work of colleagues and the organisation, providing high quality, professional services that enable the effective delivery of our services, our campaign agenda and our role as an employer.
In this role you will provide technical expertise and guidance to both the IT team and wider organisation. You’ll help introduce innovative technical solutions that enhance the departments drive to transform its infrastructure and associated systems to improve the service delivery for our beneficiaries.
You will work parallel to the Service Desk and Customer Experience team, who deliver direct-to-user support to our colleagues day-to-day
Collaborating with these teams will be essential to enhance the overall service offering from the Technology Services team.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The Infrastructure Team & Cyber Security is seeking a dynamic Senior Technical Specialist to play a central role in the transformation of IT systems within the Technology Services division.
Rethink Mental Illness is nearing the completion of a cloud-first strategy, transitioning from legacy on-premises systems to Microsoft Azure. This marks a significant shift in our infrastructure approach, driven by the Infrastructure Team’s commitment to modernisation and security.

Key achievements and strategic priorities include:

  • Successful deployment of SharePoint and OneDrive to over 1,000 end-users.
  • Transition of hardware provisioning and management to Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager.
  • Strategic reduction of physical/on-premises infrastructure.
  • Migration of server estate and infrastructure resources to Azure.
  • Strengthening the organisation’s cyber security posture by hardening systems and reducing the attack surface.
  • Implementing strategies to minimise human-related security risks through awareness and behavioural change.
  • Leveraging AI and machine learning to enhance service delivery and operational outcomes.
