SENIOR JAVA /API DEVELOPER:

On behalf of our Automotive client, Procom is searching for a Senior Java /API Developer for a 5 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Breslau office.

SENIOR JAVA /API DEVELOPER - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Java /API Developer will join our fast-paced dynamic environment supporting our Admin Systems Applications Team. The project involves completing functional enhancements to several applications identified by business owners and executing technology uplift activities.

SENIOR JAVA /API DEVELOPER - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• 3+ years’ experience in developing, debugging, and deploying applications.
• Hands-on experience in developing REST API using Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience in writing Junit tests.
• Experience in implementing high performance and responsiveness of APIs.
• Experience in deploying applications using Docker.
• Comfort working directly with end users to support issues or elicit new requirements.
• Familiarity with Jira.

SENIOR JAVA /API DEVELOPER – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in implementing security and data protection measures.
• Experience in agile methodologies.
• Ability to work in a constantly updating environment.

• Develop, debug, and deploy applications through all phases of the SDLC.
• Support existing custom solutions for internal customers.
• Develop REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Write Junit tests to ensure code quality.
• Implement high performance and responsiveness of APIs.
• Ensure security and data protection in API design.
• Integrate APIs with external systems.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Deploy applications using Docker.
