Roles & Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
2. Develop secure, scalable, resilient, and high-performance applications for banking, digital banking, payments, and financial services.
3. Build and integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven services following enterprise API standards.
4. Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure, AKS, and Kubernetes.
5. Implement API and application security using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, and secure coding practices.
6. Work with Kafka, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ and other messaging platforms.
7. Collaborate with Solution Architects, DevOps, Security, QA, and Product teams for end-to-end delivery.
8. Troubleshoot production issues, perform performance optimization, and ensure application availability and resiliency.
9. Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, Agile ceremonies, CI/CD, and DevSecOps activities.
10. Ensure solutions comply with security, audit, regulatory, performance, and operational requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. 7+ years of experience in Java Backend Development with strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Microservices.
2. Strong hands-on experience in REST APIs, API Security, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
3. Experience with Microsoft Azure, AKS, Kubernetes, Docker, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD.
4. Strong knowledge of Kafka / IBM MQ / RabbitMQ and relational/NoSQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
5. Experience with API Gateways such as Kong, Layer7, or Azure API Management.
6. Strong understanding of distributed systems, resiliency, scalability, secure SDLC, and OWASP.
7. Candidates with experience in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, Payments, or Digital Banking are highly preferred.
8. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
9. Notice Period: Less than 1 month preferred.
10. Location: Dubai, UAE.
