YOUR MISSION

As a Senior Java Backend Developer (m/f/d), you will develop high-performance backend solutions for demanding business processes in the statutory health insurance sector. You will implement complex business requirements and contribute your technical expertise to design and continuously develop stable, secure, and future-proof applications.

Your tasks

  • Development and further development of modern backend applications based on Java and Spring / Spring Boot
  • Design, implementation and integration of REST interfaces
  • Implementation of complex technical requirements in the context of statutory health insurance
  • Development of high-performance and maintainable software solutions, taking into account quality and safety requirements.
  • Working with SQL and DB2 for processing and managing business data
  • Analysis, optimization and further development of existing applications and components
  • Creation of automated tests and ensuring software quality
  • Technical coordination with specialist departments, development teams and other project stakeholders
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation

THIS IS IMPORTANT TO US

  • Several years of experience in backend development with Java and Spring / Spring Boot
  • Solid knowledge in the development and integration of REST web services and relational databases.
  • Experience in the field of statutory health insurance (GKV)
  • Understanding of software quality, IT security, and clean code principles
  • Analytical and structured work style as well as strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent German skills, both spoken and written (C2 level)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
  • Knowledge of Kafka, Liquibase and modern test frameworks
  • Experience with healthcare standards such as FHIR
  • Knowledge of agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban)
