Description
We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join an international agile team working on a large-scale tracking & reporting platform used across global logistics operations. You will contribute to backend development, system integration, and feature delivery within a modern cloud-native environment. The role involves close collaboration with developers, architects, testers, and product owners in a fast-moving engineering setup. Details Allocation: Full-time Contract type: B2B Language: English (Czech – nice to have) Location: Remote EU Engagement: Long-term Start: ASAP Responsibilities: • Develop new features for the tracking & reporting platform using latest Java, Spring, and Spring Boot. • Build and maintain integrations with internal systems using message queues, Kafka, IBM MQ, and Elasticsearch. • Work with Oracle SQL for data access, optimization, and backend logic. • Contribute to cloud-native deployment and container operations on Red Hat OpenShift and/or AKS/Kubernetes. • Ensure high-quality code through unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines. • Collaborate with cross-functional team members in an agile environment to deliver end-to-end functionality. • Troubleshoot production and pre-production issues together with the team. • Actively participate in refinement, sprint planning, and implementation discussions. Requirements: Must-have • Strong hands-on experience with Java (latest versions). • Proficiency in Spring / Spring Boot for enterprise application development. • Solid experience with Oracle SQL and backend data operations. • Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, IBM MQ or similar). • Practical experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift (AKS or equivalent). • Experience with CI/CD setups (Jenkins preferred). • Familiarity with Linux environments. • Ability to understand and work on a complex, large-scale product. • Strong communication skills in English and ability to work in European time zone. Nice to have • Knowledge of Elasticsearch. • Experience with distributed systems and high-availability architectures. • Agile development experience in large international teams.
Responsibilities
