Job Description
We are urgently seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer with 12+ years of technical expertise to join our team in Ispra, Italy. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and integration of cutting-edge, multi-tier Java-based web applications within a secure JEE/HTTP ecosystem.
Important: this is on-site/hybrid position in Ispra, Italy :)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in Java-based application development.
• Deep expertise in JEE, REST APIs, and/or SOAP APIs.
• Excellent understanding of HTTP, API design, and integration patterns.
• Strong knowledge of microservice architecture and principles.
• Proven experience in secure application development within a JEE/HTTP environment.
• Experience in data modeling and database design is a strong plus.

• Design, develop, and maintain multi-tier web applications using JEE.
• Plan and implement advanced integration strategies and patterns within secure environments.
• Design scalable and efficient APIs (REST or SOAP) with excellent knowledge of HTTP protocols.
• Work on microservices architectures to deliver modular and flexible solutions.
• Perform data modeling and optimize physical database design (preferred but not mandatory).
