QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7+ years of relevant experience, including prior experience leading a team of 5–7 developers.
• Strong expertise in: Java, Spring / Spring Boot, REST API development, Microservices (Java or Node.js), JBoss application server, SQL, Microsoft Azure (Azure EventHub, Confluent Kafka, ASP) or AWS equivalents.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture, technical environment, and solution design.
• Working knowledge of Bitbucket, Git, Confluence, JIRA, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools and Agile development methodologies.
• Ability to work autonomously in a lead capacity, managing a diverse range of development activities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Nice to have skills: OAuth and Event-Driven Messaging, Postman API testing, Operating systems (Windows, Linux), JBoss scripting / CLI, Prior financial industry (FI) experience

• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and guidance to development teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Act as the point of escalation for the development team, troubleshooting complex issues and providing solutions.
• Collaborate with Architecture & Design, Delivery, and other technical leads to align development with the client’s strategic vision.
• Drive the design, development, testing, and deployment of Java-based applications and microservices.
• Ensure adherence to DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, code management, and automated testing.
• Contribute subject matter expertise across multiple technical domains, providing input on solution design, standards, and tooling.
• Lead a small team of 5–7 developers, ensuring development activities are completed in alignment with established standards and guidelines.
• Engage in technical information exchange with clients, partners, and project teams; act as a trusted advisor and internal expert resource.
• Maintain a commitment to delivering high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions.
