The Senior Java Developer will contribute across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment. You will work closely with Agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions that support real-time analytics and decision-making in public health. The role requires expertise in Java-based applications, relational databases, and web technologies, combined with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. By joining this team, you will help improve software reliability, enhance system functionality, and support critical public health initiatives. \n Accountabilities Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using frameworks such as Spring, Struts, and JSF. Build and integrate web services, relational databases, and application persistence layers (Hibernate, JDO). Participate actively in Agile SCRUM teams, including code reviews, sprint planning, and stand-ups. Apply best practices in SDLC, version control, continuous integration (CI), unit testing, and test-driven development (TDD). Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and implement effective technical solutions. Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of production systems. Requirements 8+ years of experience in Java application development and related frameworks. Strong experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and SQL query optimization. Proficiency with front-end technologies like JavaScript, jQuery, or AngularJS. Experience with Agile SCRUM methodologies and software development lifecycle processes. Knowledge of XML, HTML, CSS, and web services integration. Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
