SUMMARY
You will be responsible for delivering and maintaining resilient, sustainable and modern API’s that enables exceptional customer experiences, based on leading edge products and services. You will also help drive the evolution of the engineering capabilities through the adoption of new tools, technologies and best practices depending on your experience and ambition.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Java microservices development
- Provide mentoring to the technical team within to deliver strategic change across the organisation using your in-depth understanding of the components comprising an integrated API Management ecosystem.
- High quality delivery of API and Java Microservice solutions to the required standard, including design, development, testing and production implementation
- Spring Framework stack including Boot, Data, Security, etc.
- Oracle/Cassandra
- Java (JDK 8 or later), core features: streams, lambdas, multithreading, NIO and etc)
- JMS (Kafka, IBM MQ), Integration design patterns
- Jenkins Pipeline CI/CD.
- Ansible
- Contribute to the code review process across different projects and help the junior developers to ensure that all code meets agreed Standards and Process.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills; with the ability to communicate technical issues and strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences at senior levels
Responsibilities:
- Working within an agile squad in designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting IT solutions that are consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value
- Being a technical leader within a diverse team, achieving positive engagement and outcomes for our customers and Stakeholders. Experience of building/maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and business partners.
- Anticipate problems/issues, take necessary actions and manage conflicts through effective stakeholder management
- Ensuring engineering rigour and quality of the software that is developed and delivered meets the security and reliability standards expected of critical customer services.
