Job Description

WHAT YOU GET TO DO IN THIS ROLE:

• Build high-quality, clean, scalable and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
• Work with the product managers to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high-quality components.
• Implement high-quality, high-performance integration and unit tests
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new products, features and components while also enhancing the existing product suite
• Redesign, refactor and improve code quality and maintainability
• Use APIs to transfer data from Knowledge base systems
• Own the development and deployment cycle of the components you are building
• Be a mentor for colleagues and help promote knowledge-sharing
  Qualifications

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU HAVE:

• 4+ years of experience with Java or a similar OO language, JavaScript, Spring Boot
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
• Experience building API clients and efficient, sustainable usage of public APIs
• Experience with data streaming mechanisms is a plus
• Familiarity with containerization and relevant technologies, Docker, Kubernetes and Knowledge of DevOps best practices
• Familiarity with Splunk is a plus
• Fluent in version control, using IDEs and CI pipelines
