About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Joinery Draftsperson / Production Detailer to take ownership of the technical drafting and production detailing function across our joinery projects. This role requires deep hands-on knowledge of joinery manufacturing, with the ability to interpret architectural intent, identify buildability risks early, and deliver accurate, production-ready drawings for CNC and factory use. You will act as a key technical link between design, sales, and manufacturing teams. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership & Drafting Interpret architectural and design drawings and convert them into fully detailed, build-ready joinery drawings Identify, assess, and proactively resolve buildability, detailing, and material constraints Produce and review detailed drawings in Pytha for client approval Prepare and process drawings in Alphacam for CNC machining Ensure drawings comply with manufacturing capabilities, tolerances, and installation requirements Production & CNC Support Lead the preparation of material take-offs and detailed materials lists for ordering Ensure CNC outputs are accurate, efficient, and production-ready Complete and oversee production documentation and workflows Provide advanced technical support to the factory floor, foreman, and production management Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as a senior technical point of contact for: Sales team (design feasibility and clarifications) Production Manager Factory Foreman and Factory Manager Communicate directly with clients regarding drawing approvals and technical queries Support continuous improvement in drafting standards, workflows, and documentation Quality & Process Improvement Maintain high standards of accuracy, consistency, and documentation control Review drawings for quality and completeness prior to release Contribute to improving internal drafting processes and CNC efficiency Mentor or support junior drafting staff if required Skills & Experience Essential Extensive experience in joinery manufacturing or architectural timber production Strong practical understanding of how joinery is built, assembled, and installed Proven experience producing production-ready and CNC-ready joinery drawings Advanced ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and accountability Confident communicator across design, sales, and manufacturing teams Desirable Strong experience with Pytha and Alphacam CAD drafting background within joinery, cabinetry, or architectural fabrication Industrial Design or technical design qualifications Experience contributing to process or workflow improvements Work Set Up: On-Site Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM ShoreXtra Perks: Day 1 HMO Coverage Dayshift schedule Fixed Weekends off Engaging in monthly activities Free and unlimited barista-style coffee Free parking and shuttle services Employee referral incentives (Silver)
