Roles & responsibilities As a Senior in the Tax Compliance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of tax compliance processes, focusing on corporate and partnership tax filings. You will assist in analysing financial data, prepare detailed tax schedules, and support senior colleagues in broader tax strategies and compliance efforts. Your analytical skills will be pivotal in meeting both UK and overseas tax requirements Key Responsibilities: •Assist in the analysis of tax-relevant data from KPMG systems such as SAP, Concur, and Coupa, ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounting entries. •Support the preparation of partnership tax computation schedules for HMRC submissions. •Collaborate on corporate tax computations for KPMG’s UK tax resident entities and permanent establishments, using Digitax and Alphatax software. •Review tax schedules and computations from fellow team members, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy. •Participate in ongoing analysis related to KPMG’s wider tax affairs, including overseas filing requirements and Country-by-Country reporting. •Aid in preparing estimates for year-end taxable profits figures and deferred tax calculations Overseas Tax Responsibilities: •Support in the analysis of travel data with Alteryx and Excel, ensuring adherence to KPMG UK policy. •Initiate the preparation of overseas tax computations for varied countries and assist with specific data analysis requirements. Employment Tax Responsibilities: •Assist in gathering information from overseas offices and support settlement reporting reviews and annual compliance processes. This role is for you if you have the below •Experience in UK corporate tax compliance; familiarity with partnership tax issues is beneficial but not essential. •Basic understanding of accounting principles and standards. •Effective communication skills for engaging with team members at all levels. •Ability to rapidly extract and analyse data accurately. •Solid knowledge of Excel and quick adaptation to KPMG’s internal systems (e.g., SAP). •Strong organisational skills, investigative instinct, respect for confidentiality, and ability to know when to seek guidance. •Self-motivated and able to work efficiently within a team environment. •Effectively able to manage and engage the team Preferred technical & functional skills •Excellent Communication Skills •Understanding of UK Tax laws , financial Reporting & analysis •Over 8 years relevant experience of data analysis in an operational or professional services environment •Strong proficiency in MS Excel, VBA, Power Query, Alteryx •Knowledge of Data Analytics tools •Multitasking Skills
