Description

•Generate and distribute data reports using systems like SQL Server, Azure Databricks, HANA Business Objects (Web Intelligence), Hyperion and SAP. •Works on testing and issue resolution, including compiling cases and communicating with the tech team to resolve data/reporting issues. •Participate in initiatives that involve application migration, front-line testing, and working with teams on new measures and tools. •Develop and design interactive Power BI applications and dashboards, along with data sourcing and modeling responsibilities. •Take responsibility of deliverables including data validation and control checks to ensure accuracy. •Assist with ad-hoc reporting requests as needed. •Evaluate existing financial management and reporting processes to identify areas for enhancement and improvement, ensuring transparency and accuracy. •Develop and implement streamlined processes and methodologies to consolidate data from multiple sources for generating comprehensive financial reports. •Extensive knowledge of SQL, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, HANA & Hyperion to support the data needs for ad-hoc analyses. •Collaborate closely with stakeholders from various departments to align the new financial reporting process with organizational needs and goals. •Proficiency in SQL: Strong command of SQL with the ability to write complex queries, perform data manipulation, and extract insights from relational databases. Experience in optimizing SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and generating financial reports. Experience with Databricks and Spark SQL on Azure Data Lake would be an advantage. •Strong knowledge of HANA Business Objects (Web Intelligence) - Create and manage Business Objects reports and dashboards, including Universe design and Web Intelligence reports. •Strong knowledge of advanced Excel functions, including VBA, data analysis tools, and Power Query. Ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets using VBA, Power Query, Excel formulas and functions to derive insights for financial reporting and analysis. •Good understanding of Power BI with experience in data sourcing, transformation, modeling and visual development. Ability to leverage DAX functions to streamline measures and calculated columns and implementation of Row Level Security. •Good understanding of Access database management, including creating and optimizing database structures, SQL query writing, and data extraction for financial analysis. Proficiency in using Access to maintain and organize financial data in a structured and efficient manner. •Python: Ability to leverage Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization in support of financial reporting needs.
