The WPC Quality Engineering team is looking for someone to help us manage unique hardware in labs across the world, contribute to multiple automation projects, and organize/enhance processes for everything lab-related. The focus will be on building, maintaining, and operating our engineering labs supporting multiple teams for testing everything related to wallet & payments. This position includes everything from tracking/ordering equipment to writing code for configuration management to some robotics work. There’s a wide range of opportunities for the right person!

DESCRIPTION

Automate configuration updates across lab systems. Setup and extend monitoring for all lab equipment. Perform lab asset management duties (storage, shipping, service, audit, budget). Train team members about best practices and procedures. Work with facilities to ensure safety, regulatory, and quality requirements. On-call responsibilities are a requirement

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Scripting skills required (Ansible preferred, Python, Shell, Puppet, & Chef are also useful).
  • Proven track record of debugging, deploying, and supporting complex systems.
  • Excellent organization skills, including experience creating & maintaining inventories.
  • Proven collaborator across teams, emphasizing clarity, ownership, and timely communication.
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals.
  • Working knowledge of macOS, iOS, or Linux.
  • At least 3 years experience performing similar tasks.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with AI/ML and LLMs.
  • Experience assembling/disassembling computer hardware.
  • Familiarity with robotics, CAD/CAM, 3D printing, and general maker skills are a plus.
  • Past experience with SRE or DevOps.
