The Nokia Nuremberg R&D team is developing next generation optical transport systems for metro as well as core networks. You will be part of the System Verification organization responsible for quality assurance of transport products developed by the Optical Networks R&D teams.
To support the related activities large laboratories are operated by System Verification and other R&D organizations.
In this role as senior lab specialist you will support all kinds of lab and models/equipment coordination and management activities including shipments and coordinate the work of the other 2 System Verification lab team members.
You will closely work together with the complete System Verification team and with lab team members and engineers of all other Optics R&D disciplines and sites in an agile environment to achieve our company, organizational and project goals as a team.

This job comprises but is not limited to the following main activities:

• Administration and physical handling (installation/reconstruction/dismantling) of all kinds of lab equipment
• Execution of national and international shipments including handling of related import and export obligations
• Reception, administration and distribution of all kinds of deliveries
• Management of Optics R&D developed models
• Conduct of equipment orders including related administrative actions (order, tracking, reception, registration in tools, distribution)
• Preparation and support of Optics R&D boost programs
• Preparation and support of quality audits
• Preparation and support of measurement equipment maintenance and repair activities
• Execution of ESD measurements
• Inventory taking
• Coordination of activities within the System Verification lab team and with other disciplines and sites

For this position you should bring knowledge from your university education and 3 – 5 years practical experience.

You have:

• Good skills for handicraft work
• Administrative capabilities
• Knowledge of shipment processes and customs regulations
• Coordination of lab related topics and activities (e.g. trainings, audits and risk assessments) with lab personnel of other organizations

• Experience in coordinating the work of a small teamFluency in English
