DESCRIPTION

Represents the laboratory to the public, physicians, patients and offices while assisting laboratory technical staff, receiving/accessioning and/or processing specimens according to laboratory procedures. Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety; environmental and infectious control standards so that the laboratory remains in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• H.S. Diploma or GEDCoursework/Training - Successful completion of a phlebotomy program through a post-secondary school, college or military program
• Upon Hire:Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification -or
• -
• Washington Medical Assistant Certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior phlebotomy experience
