At WSP , our Landscape Architect & Urban Design team is integral to creating positive, long-lasting impacts in the communities we serve through a culture of innovation, integrity, and inclusion. In Ontario, we are a team of 30+ Landscape Architects, Urban Designers, Arborists, and Technicians. With the support of our national team of allied professionals – Planners, Engineers, Scientists - we think globally and act locally.
The next senior member of our Ontario team will support growth and development of our expanding Landscape Architectural & Urban Design practice. Our ideal candidate is a creative, collaborative designer with a passion for the profession and demonstrated experience taking projects from concept to completion. As a member of our Landscape Architecture & Urban Design Team , this individual will contribute to current projects in a leadership role and help win new ones by being involved in all aspects of project delivery.

• Possess a natural design intuition and have a portfolio of projects to demonstrate this
• Show initiative and contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team including mentorship of early career professionals
• Bring a collaborative mindset and desire to find creative design solutions that are environmentally responsible and technically sound
• Demonstrate excellent communications skills including the ability to quickly develop and articulate different design ideas and project concepts
• Be comfortable speaking with members of the public, clients, and colleagues across disciplines, and do so with professionalism at all times
• Have experience in preparing and leading others in the preparation of proposals
• Have experience in Project Management and demonstrated financial acumenBe familiar with all aspects of design development and construction documentation including site design, planting design, site grading, detailing, and contract administration, with the ability to lead others through projects from start to finish
