We are looking for a Sr. Data Analyst / Lead Data Analyst to join our team. This senior role is essential to driving data-driven decision-making across our organization. You’ll partner closely with leaders from Underwriting, Claims, Legal, and Loss Control to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and guide business strategy using data. From designing analytical models to leading implementation efforts with our BI team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the way we understand and act on performance metrics.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in advanced analytics or data science roles.
  • Proven track record in developing data-driven strategies and presenting actionable insights to stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, Power Query, macros, VBA).
  • Strong proficiency in Transact-SQL for managing and optimizing large datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
  • Experience in SSRS and RDL for data visualization and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities-able to translate data for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Preferred: Experience using Looker BI and LookML.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of actuarial practices, including loss development, exposure analysis, and premium adequacy.
  • Preferred: Background in Commercial PropertyCasualty insurance industry.
