This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Lead Engineer in India. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of automation and testing frameworks across web, backend, and mobile applications. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality software delivery by combining automation with manual testing, while collaborating closely with development teams to identify defects early. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge technologies, including Python scripting, C++ unit testing, code coverage analysis, and CI/CD integration. You will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to process improvement, mentoring team members, and supporting complex engineering initiatives. Accountabilities Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Python. Write and execute C++ unit tests to validate core software modules. Perform code coverage analysis to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Execute manual testing for functional, regression, and integration purposes across platforms. Collaborate with development teams to identify defects early and enhance testability. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and maintain testing documentation. Support web, backend, and mobile application testing efforts. Mentor junior team members and share test-related knowledge across teams. 5–8 years of experience in software testing (automation and manual). Strong expertise in Python scripting for test automation frameworks. Hands-on experience with C++ and unit testing frameworks (Google Test, CppUnit, or similar). Experience with code coverage tools and test reporting practices. Solid knowledge of manual testing methodologies and defect management. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab. Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git. Exposure to cybersecurity testing and mobile app testing is a plus. Knowledge of performance/load testing tools and Agile/Scrum processes is advantageous. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
