BE THE GO-TO EXPERT ON FAR AND EXECUTIVE ACCOUNTABILITY AT QBE.

We’re looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Senior Lead to join our Office of Executive Accountability.

YOUR NEW ROLE

In this role, you’ll act as a subject matter expert on the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR), supporting Accountable Persons and ensuring QBE’s compliance through accurate documentation and strong governance practices.

  • Provide expert guidance on the Financial Accountability Regime, supporting Accountable Persons and their teams in understanding and meeting their obligations.
  • Lead the creation and ongoing refinement of clear, compliant accountability statements and maps, aligning with legislative requirements.
  • Assist the Senior Manager in preparing formal communications and notifications to the Regulators and contribute to effective engagement with the Regulators.
  • Analyse QBE’s governance, accountability, and risk arrangements, reporting on implementation progress and identifying areas for improvement
  • Play a pivotal role in enhancing/developing processes and systems to meet accountability and notification obligations, driving a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

You’re a trusted advisor with a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and a passion for clarity and compliance. You will be dedicated to excellence, innovation, and integrity whilst navigating the complex regulatory landscape and accountability at every level of our organisation.

  • Extensive experience in compliance, risk, regulatory, or governance roles—preferably in financial services.
  • Strong understanding of FAR and executive accountability legislation.
  • Proven ability to draft formal documentation, including policies and accountability statements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
