Description

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Financial Crimes Officer to join the Consumer Lending (CL) Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM) Business Advisory Group, specifically covering Auto Risk. The group is responsible for providing advice, oversight, and challenge of the financial crimes program in CL and Auto. This position consults and provides guidance on the development, implementation, and monitoring of complex business-specific Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) programs. The Senior Lead Financial Crimes Officer will work with teams across CL, along with partners across FCRM, Compliance, Control, Audit, and Legal regarding risk management. This role may lead efforts and mentor but does not manage other team members.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide Financial Crimes expertise and guidance for CL and Auto related activities and projects to ensure meeting all policy requirements.
  • Advises on the applicability of policies, assesses the adequacy and effectiveness of procedures and challenges, when needed.
  • Provide oversight of assigned financial crimes related issues and corrective actions to ensure control deficiencies are effectively resolved.
  • Work cross-functionally with partners to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive strategic objectives. Assists in developing corrective actions to mitigate risks and monitors to completion.
  • Contributes to the development and enhancement of the business control environment for Financial Crimes.
  • Identify risk exposure based on emerging risks and changes in business processes or risk appetite.
  • Assist with aggregating risk information and communicating the financial crimes risk profile.
  • Assess and respond to Business escalations and exception requests.
  • Identify and escalate financial crimes risk matters to management, as appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Fraud, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery, Corruption experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of CL, specifically Auto
  • Strong executive level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong risk and control orientation, experience working on regulatory matters with senior leaders
  • Strong partnership and influence skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels where flexibility, collaborations, and adaptability are important
  • Ability to make timely and independent judgement decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management
  • 4+ years of experience across Consumer Lending
  • Experience working on issues and corrective actions and/or developing corrective actions

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
