The Senior Mandarin Preschool Educator mentors the team to enhance their teaching practice including the nurturing of trusting and respectful relationships with children. He/She utilises in-depth knowledge of Early Childhood education and pedagogical expertise to design and implement a developmentally and culturally appropriate curriculum for children, as well as contributes to innovations in teaching and learning practices.
The Senior Preschool Educator oversees the design and set up of secure and quality learning environment for children. He/She also mentors the other educators in preparing the learning experiences and environment for the children in line with Centres’ philosophy and curricula goals. He/She develops structures for sustained collaborative partnerships with families and communities, and supports in fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration and collegiality within the Centre.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have an L2 Certification from ECDA
• Must have WSQ Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education Teaching Mandrin (DECCE-T) or above
• More than 8 years of working experience in a Preschool Teacher role
• Has experience mentoring teachers is a bonus

• Lead implementation of teaching and learning approaches aligned with curricula frameworks
• Review children engagement strategies under the curriculum and pedagogical frameworks
• Develop initiatives, practices and learning materials to enhance quality of learning environment
• Develop strategies to establish partnerships and collaborations with families and community stakeholders
• Lead the implementation of collaborative efforts amongst families and community stakeholders
• Disseminate information from higher authorities
