Description The A&P Mechanic is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in compliance with FAA regulations and company standards. This role requires a high level of technical expertise in piston-powered general aviation aircraft and the ability to work independently while also supporting junior mechanics as needed. Mandatory organizational standards training (up to four weeks) will be conducted at our Addison, TX (ADS) maintenance location. Requirements Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as directed by the Director of Maintenance (DOM). Ensure full compliance with all FAA regulations, company policies, and industrial safety standards. Complete maintenance tasks in accordance with approved manuals, standard practices, and DOM-established procedures. Accurately document all maintenance performed using approved maintenance tracking systems. Troubleshoot aircraft systems and perform routine inspections and repairs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Provide guidance and support to junior mechanics when appropriate. Perform all duties with the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Required Qualifications Minimum of 5+ years of experience maintaining piston-powered general aviation aircraft. Experience with Piper Archer and Piper Seminole aircraft preferred. Strong working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). Ability to read and interpret aircraft diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals. Proficiency in computerized maintenance tracking systems; Quantum MX experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to work independently without direct supervision. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability and willingness to collaborate with and mentor junior mechanics. Must provide own tools and maintain reliable transportation. Certifications Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (required) Inspection Authorization (IA) (preferred)
