Description Contingent Award Connected Logistics is seeking Senior Lead Network Engineer who will provide technical leadership on major network tasks or technology assignments and establish goals and plans that meet project objectives. This work provides support to a customer base of at least 3,000 users in a high-profile environment. Key Responsibilities The Senior Lead Network Engineer directs and controls activities, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that all network technical requirements are met. Plans, designs, and implements physical and logical wide-area networks (WAN), local-area networks (LAN), communications, and infrastructure across the client enterprise. Directs and controls activities, have overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that all network technical requirements are met. Works with client staff to identify voice/data/video communications requirements. Performs system level assessments of communications systems. Research and evaluate network technologies, protocols, and applications for application to the client environment. Supports the client mission through seamless, secure connectivity to all endpoints in the client’s infrastructure. Plans, acquires, fields, and operates network equipment and related technologies. Sets up, maintains, and supports client networks, firewalls, and Internet access tools. Provides analysis of interoperability, implementation, and integration issues related to topology, deployment strategies, operations, and management. Uses network design tools and techniques. Develop designs that support e-commerce and electronic data interchange (EDI) functions. Designs and optimizes network topologies and site configurations. Performs modeling and analysis at physical, data, control, and higher order protocol layers and develops/prototypes network/communications systems. Analyzes network characteristics and recommends procurement, removals, and modifications to network components. The Senior Lead Network Engineer will supervise others. The Senior Lead Network Engineer is required to be onsite in downtown Washington, DC 3(three) days per week along with 2 days’ telecommuting as designated by the client. Requirements Must have a completed bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant discipline or related field. Must have a minimum of 12-15 years’ experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Must have a minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role like this requirement. Must have pass a background check and be finger printed. Public Trust. Must have and maintain a base-level certification, such as A+, Security+, or Network+. Must have and maintain a Core certification within their functional area, such as a CCNA, CCNP, CCIE. Salary Range- 125,000.00-140,000.00 Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
