Majesco is seeking a backend developer for North American Property and Casualty product line. Majesco has been identified in the ‘Visionary’ Quadrant as per Gartner’s report for L&A Product vendors in North America. All About the Role: * Develop and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions * Work with Oracle views, triggers, sequences, and other DB objects * Understand and implement foreign/primary key relationships and complex joins * Perform unit testing (positive and negative scenarios) for own code * Debug and troubleshoot existing DB objects, including code written by others * Analyze technical specifications and translate them into working solutions * Basic Java knowledge (academic or training within last 5 years acceptable) * Familiarity with XML for data handling and integration What You’ll Bring: * Self-driven, highly motivated, outcome focused - Ownership of technical designs, code development, and component test execution to demonstrate alignment to the functional & non-functional requirements. * First-time-right Quality mindset, prefers to automate over doing same tasks manually, strives for delivering the best customer experience, ambitious and growth mindset. * Employ exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they snowball into problems. * Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace. * Willing to work across time zones, covering few EST hours, and with remote teams. All About You: * 4–6 years of hands-on experience in PL/SQL development * Strong understanding of relational database design and optimization * Excellent analytical and communication skills Other Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering is plus * Experience with the Majesco Platforms/Products is a plus * Experience with the Insurance Platforms/Products is a plus

Responsibilities

The role involves developing and maintaining PL/SQL database objects, including packages, procedures, and functions for the North American Property and Casualty product line. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting existing database code, performing unit testing, and translating technical specifications into effective software solutions.
