Description

Job Title: Senior Simulator Software Engineer (Lead)
Pay Range: $55–$60/hr (Contract-to-Hire, ~$120k annual conversion)
Location: Jacksonville, FL (onsite; option for 2 remote days after 6 months)
Contract Type: 6-month contract-to-hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM (1st shift)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of C++ development experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Strong knowledge of multi-threaded execution and MFC libraries
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience driving technical architecture projects
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and OOP skills
  • Hands-on hardware/software integration experience
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

PREFERRED SKILLS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Experience with Unreal 5, Unity, or other simulation/game engines
  • VBA, Python, SQL, or scripting languages
  • REST API/Webservice integration
  • GIS data knowledge
  • Familiarity with Trello or Kanban boards
  • Background in simulation, modeling, or rail industry
  • Strong applied engineering math skills

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Computer Science, EE, ME, or related)
