We are currently seeking: Senior Lead Technician
The Senior Lead Technician will oversee a wide range of routine maintenance, service, and new installations for perimeter security and electronic security components installed at customer sites and facilities. Senior Lead will be responsible for training and oversight of the lower-level technicians as well as being assigned daily maintenance duties.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Vast knowledge on installing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of barriers, gate operators, low/high voltage, and telephone entry systems.
  • Communication and team building skills.
  • Clean DMV report to drive company vehicle.
  • Must receive CGAT and CGAD certificates.
  • HVAC or Low voltage certification

PREFERRED SKILLS/ ABILITIES (NOT REQUIRED):

  • Access Control, and CCTV.
  • Welding

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of field related experience or equivalent experience for SR Lead

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to stand and walk up to ten hours per day and climb multiple sets of stairs while carrying materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
Responsibilities

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicates and enforces safety procedures and site rules.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of technicians on assigned jobs.
  • Ensures quality and UL325 compliance of new installs.
  • Provides mechanical, electrical, and controls training on-site and in group settings.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be on time for work, appointments, and required meetings.
  • Use drawings, manuals, specifications, and electrical schematics to perform maintenance/ installation on given components and/ or operators.
  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections, new installs, and service.
  • Thoroughly cleaning, removing parts, and reinstalling parts as required.
  • Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts as required.
  • Identifies parts to order and installs replacement parts when received.
  • Coordinate with operations team / project manager to order required parts and schedule delivery of needed parts.
  • Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns.
  • Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
  • Prepares reports documenting work performed.
  • Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools.
  • Use precision measuring equipment and electronic testing devices.
  • Deenergize and take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
  • Diagnose, analyze, and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Complete all required documentation such as daily reports, assessments reports, service reports, and expense reports.
  • Comply with company’s safety policy, site specific safety requirements and environmental policies & procedures, including proper use of required PPE.
  • Complete all required training including CPR, First Aid, LOTO, and OSHA courses.
  • Extensive out of town travel as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Cross trains other Team members as needed.
  • Train and Mentor other Team members and needed.
  • Provide preconstruction support as needed.
  • Cooperate with other team members.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
