THE CANDIDATE:

A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Learning & Development Officer position within the People Support and Development team.
We’re looking for a Senior Learning and Development Officer to lead and support innovative projects that strengthen Scotland’s public health workforce. In this role, you’ll collaborate with national organisations, education providers, and partners to design and deliver impactful learning programmes.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading the development of high-quality learning resources, including eLearning
  • Managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects that support workforce development
  • Organising and contributing to national events, seminars, and training programmes
  • Building strong partnerships to influence policy and practice
  • Supporting internal staff development through externally focused learning initiatives

What we’re looking for:

  • A postgraduate qualification (or equivalent experience) in learning and development or a related field
  • Proven experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating education programmes
  • Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A commitment to reducing health inequalities and improving population health
