Job Description
The Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor & Academic Lead (Public Health) is expected to make a significant contribution to all activities of the School of Medicine and Dentistry and the Health Group and play a significant role within the profession/discipline.
In this role they will make substantial distinctive contributions to teaching, research and engagement within the Public Health discipline. They will also make major original and innovative contributions to the field of expertise which are recognised as outstanding nationally or internationally.
In addition to the expectations associated with a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor, as Academic Lead for the Public Health discipline they will provide leadership and management of the staff. They will be responsible for establishing and maintaining ongoing collaborative partnerships that support learning and teaching, research and service within public health, health professions and health care services as relevant to the discipline. The Academic Lead will also be a member of the School of Medicine and Dentistry’s Executive.
The level of appointment with be dependent upon the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
This is a full-time, fixed-term (3 years) appointment, based at Griffith Gold Coast. As a multi-campus institution and a discipline that teaches across several campuses, it is the expectation that the successful candidate will work from other campus locations as required.
