Job Description

Acknowledge Education is seeking an experienced and committed Senior Lecturer to contribute to the delivery and ongoing improvement of the Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Education. This role is central to providing high-quality, inclusive teaching and supporting students to succeed, while also contributing to program compliance with ACECQA and TEQSA standards.
As a Senior Lecturer, you will deliver engaging teaching, contribute to curriculum and assessment design, and provide mentorship to academic colleagues where appropriate. You will also play a role in ensuring best practice in learning and teaching across the program.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education OR ACECQA-approved ECT + Master’s/PhD in a cognate area (Education, Sociology, Psychology, etc.).
  • (Please note: a postgraduate diploma is insufficient due to TEQSA requirements.)
  • Minimum two (2) FTE years of post-qualification, relevant industry experience.
  • Commitment to at least 20 hours of continued professional development annually.
  • Strong understanding of theory and practice in early childhood education.

  • Develop and review assessments in line with program outcomes and accreditation requirements, ensuring fairness and transparency.
  • Provide constructive feedback, maintain accurate student records, and support at-risk students through appropriate interventions.
  • Participate in moderation, academic committees, and cross-campus teaching collaborations.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to academic staff as required, supporting consistency and professional growth.
  • Contribute to program evaluation and improvement through reflective practice, research, and professional development.
  • Model professionalism, integrity, and inclusivity in all academic and community interactions.
