SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
You will possess breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline of Cancer Biology, Eukaryotic Genetics, and Cell Biology (eukaryotic) to develop and deliver teaching. Additionally, an appreciation and understanding of the educational needs of students and an understanding of students’ prior learning experiences and how these might influence their current educational expectations is essential for this role. You will have good interpersonal skills and the ability to create excellent working relationships with the ability to communicate effectively, clearly and supportively with both students and academic colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
You will be educated with an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in Biomedical Science or a related discipline and be educated with a postgraduate qualification, i.e. Masters and/or PhD (completed or close to completion, e.g. has submitted final thesis) in Cancer Biology or a relevant field or significant experience.

The successful applicant for this post will work within the Bioscience, Agriculture, and Nutrition Subject Group in undertaking teaching, learning, assessment, and module leadership. As a module leader you will be responsible for facilitating and advising on the work of your module team and proactively highlight areas of improvement within the programmes of study, designing and developing new teaching materials as appropriate. There is some flexibility in the teaching contribution but will include: cancer biology, cancer immunotherapy, genetics, and cell biology (eukaryotic) as required across a range of modules and programmes. The successful candidate will undertake research and scholarly activities as appropriate, including identifying sources of funding and contribute to funding applications.
