Position Details Continuing | Full time Academic Level C | $138,124 - $158,885 pa Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna Country View Position Description About the Position: Flinders University is seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Senior Lecturer in Education (Literacy and Learning) to play a pivotal role in advancing literacy education across early childhood, primary and secondary contexts. This appointment provides an outstanding opportunity to shape how literacy and learning are taught, understood, and embedded across initial teacher education (ITE) programs. In this pivotal position, you will: Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of topics in literacy, reading, writing and inclusive education. Inspire students through innovative, evidence-based teaching approaches. Contribute to research, supervision, and engagement in literacy and learning. Strengthen partnerships with schools, educators and industry to enhance impact and student outcomes. Provide academic leadership across curriculum, accreditation and quality assurance activities. About You You are an accomplished academic who brings depth of expertise in literacy and learning, a commitment to evidence-informed practice, and a genuine focus on student success. You demonstrate collegial leadership, and a collaborative approach to advancing teaching quality and research outcomes. Your professional integrity and ability to foster productive partnerships reflect your commitment to excellence in education. As a Senior Lecturer in Education (Literacy and Learning), you will also have: A PhD in Education. Proven excellence in university teaching, topic and course coordination. A strong research profile, with publications, external funding success and experience in HDR supervision. Experience leading curriculum design, accreditation or professional learning.
