STUDENT EXPERIENCE AND ENGAGEMENT

  • Promote student engagement using digital tools and interactive learning approaches.

PERSON SPECIFICATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Master’s degree in a Health-related subject (Essential)
  • A PhD/EdD in a related area (Desirable)
  • Higher Education teaching qualification (e.g., PGCert or SFHEA) (Essential)
  • Relevant and current professional registration (Desirable)

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a Higher Education setting in the UK (Essential)
  • Previous experience in module leadership and curriculum design (Desirable)
  • Proven experience in delivering and enhancing academic programmes (Essential)
  • Experience in using digital platforms (e.g., Moodle, CRM) for teaching and administration (Essential)
Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To support and lead the delivery of Health and Social Care programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, focusing on high-quality teaching, curriculum innovation, student support, and continuous academic development aligned with institutional goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES IN TEACHING AND LEARNING

  • Lead, deliver and review Health and Social Care modules in line with current academic and industry standards.
  • Coordinate module delivery, assessments and academic support across campuses.
  • Ensure the consistency and quality of teaching and learning, including planning cover during staff absences.
  • Design and develop engaging, inclusive learning materials, including digital and e-learning content.
  • Provide constructive formative and summative assessment feedback within set deadlines.
  • Serve as a personal academic tutor and support individual learner progress and retention.
  • Ensure teaching activities comply with institutional quality assurance frameworks.
