The University of Manchester is seeking to recruit a Senior Lecturer to join the Division of Pharmacy and Optometry. We are looking for a passionate and innovative individual to lead an independent research programme in pharmacy practice, workforce, and education.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to the Drug Usage and Pharmacy Practice (DUPP) group, secure external research funding, and publish in internationally recognized journals. Additionally, they will supervise PhD students, manage externally funded research projects, and collaborate across the School of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health to foster interdisciplinary research. The role will also involve contributing to the design and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant social science subject or strong evidence of social science training and experience if a pharmacist. You should have an established record of high-quality, peer-reviewed research publications and successful research leadership. Proven ability to secure external research funding, excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team are essential.
