PRIMARY DETAIL Salary Package: Lecturer (Level B) from $123,435 to $146,044 plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading Contract Type: Full-time, 2-year fixed term contract Location: Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde The School of Psychological Sciences, within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences (FMHHS) is seeking suitably qualified academics to be actively involved in the development, curriculum design, and teaching in the Undergraduate Mental Health and Counselling Major within the Bachelor of Psychology and Bachelor of Health Sciences Courses. We offer accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Psychology with the largest suite of postgraduate programs in New South Wales. The school sits under the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences (FMHHS) whose current education suite includes courses in clinical science, physiotherapy, medicine, exercise and sports science, public health, psychology, cognitive sciences, linguistics, audiology, and speech pathology. The faculty forms part of MQ Health, an integrated academic health sciences enterprise which incorporates Macquarie University Hospital and primary and speciality clinics. About You (Selection Criteria) You will have a tertiary and/or professional qualifications in mental health counselling and/or psychology. You will also have experience with, or a willingness to embrace, educational technology, blended learning and educational innovation. A tertiary qualification related to counselling and/or psychology and/or relevant applied counselling work experience. Demonstrated applied mental health counselling knowledge and skills. Demonstrated skills to design units with innovation in pedagogy including curriculum development and assessments in higher education in counselling units, or professional practice in counselling (e.g., designing CPD workshops for professionals). Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to relate to build an inclusive teaching and learning environment and work effectively in a team environment. Evidence of successful delivery to diverse student cohorts or professional training experience in counselling. Desirable: Experience in designing accredited units in higher education accredited courses Experience with Australian counselling accreditation procedures.
