Job Description
As a Senior Lecturer in Midwifery, you will provide academic leadership in contemporary midwifery education and research. You will teach into undergraduate and postgraduate midwifery programs, support curriculum innovation and development, and play a vital role in supervising Honours and Higher Degree Research students.
Within this position you will conduct high-impact research aligned with the School’s strategic focus areas, contribute to the midwifery research agenda, and collaborate across disciplines and with industry to inform evidence-based practice, transform maternity services improving maternal and newborn outcomes.
This role will also involve service contributions within the University and engagement with external stakeholders to strengthen partnerships across the health sector and broader community.

Responsibilities
  • Possession of a doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a midwife or ability to apply and obtain.
  • A research track record including successful research grants and publications in high quality journals
