POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Doctoral (preferred) and/or postgraduate qualifications in paramedicine or equivalent accreditation and standing relevant to the discipline.
  • Actual or ability to obtain registration as a paramedic with the Paramedicine Board of Australia.
  • Knowledge of the scope of practice of paramedics which contributes to the development of the curriculum, teaching and assessment.
  • Experience in curriculum development.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate University paramedic science students using flexible delivery systems.
  • Experience in the development and delivery of low to high-fidelity clinical simulation.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in areas of research strength.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to take a team leadership role, and mentor junior academic staff.
  • Demonstrated capacity to engage and network effectively with industry and community partners and stakeholders.
