Department/ Unit: School of Biomedical Sciences Closing Date: February 8, 2026 The School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) of the CUHK Faculty of Medicine is committed to nurturing health professionals and the next generation of biomedical scientists to excel in research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and health services. We are seeking passionate and highly motivated individuals to join our innovative and energetic teaching team as Senior Lecturers in the Division of Education, School of Biomedical Sciences. Our Division has a strong track record in leading cutting‑edge teaching initiatives and pedagogical research. Applicants should have formal training or teaching experience in at least one of the following areas: biochemistry, pharmacology, physiology, histology, or anatomy (including gross anatomy or neuroanatomy). For anatomy‑focused candidates, experience in teaching human dissection is essential. Applicants should also hold a PhD in biomedical sciences or a related discipline and possess at least eight years of post‑doctoral teaching experience in the higher education sector. The successful candidate should have a strong commitment to teaching excellence, an ability to contribute to curriculum development, and a proven record of effective engagement with students. S/he is expected to: - demonstrate a proven track record of teaching excellence and education leadership; - understand the landscape and challenges of higher education; - have experience in programme management, curriculum and course design; - show commitment to leading and participating in educational and professional development activities; - strive for excellence in educating future health professionals; and - be a strong team player with excellent communication skills. The appointee will work closely with the team on curriculum review, lead educational and pedagogical initiatives, and contribute to sharing good teaching practices and provide staff training. S/he will also be engaged in teaching undergraduate preclinical and biomedical sciences courses, student mentoring, course coordination, and other teaching-related administrative duties. Appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for two years, renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
