SENIOR LEGAL ADVISOR – 12-MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT

National - United Kingdom
Are you looking to join a collaborative environment where you will play a pivotal role in navigating complex legal landscapes? Are you ready to help our business thrive within the bounds of our governance and to aid our project teams in securing opportunities? Our success is driven by our people and we are looking for a Senior Legal Advisor whose expertise will help us mitigate risks whilst driving our business forward.
If this sounds like you, or you’re curious to learn more, then this role could be the perfect opportunity. Join our Legal department as our new Senior Legal Advisor and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.

Responsibilities

This is a 12-month fixed term full time position and as our new Senior Legal Advisor you will be part of a dynamic team based in various locations across England. You will deal with non-contentious matters including complex contractual arrangements. Your role will focus on identification and management of legal risk, contract negotiation and drafting coupled with the provision of commercial and pragmatic legal advice. You will also provide contractual support on matters which may arise during the lifecycle of the project.
This role is key in ensuring that the Legal team’s support to the business is efficient, accurate and proactive so that contract negotiations can progress as swiftly as possible, but without unnecessary risk.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Reviewing primarily construction professional services contracts (both bespoke and industry standard such as NEC and JCT) as well as other project legal documents, including responding to requests for contract amendments to Ramboll standard agreements
  • Providing tailored advice to the Executive Board on risks in contracts and preparing necessary supporting documentation
  • Working on a range of projects across different markets with a strong emphasis on transport and offshore wind projects
  • Advising project directors and project managers on risks related to contractual issues arising within projects both prior to execution of the relevant agreement and during the project lifecycle
  • Leading or assisting in contract negotiations with external clients or their representatives
