Description
About Reap Reap is a global financial technology company headquartered in Hong Kong with employees across multiple countries. We enable financial connectivity and access for businesses worldwide by combining traditional finance with stablecoins for efficient money movement. Through our stablecoin-powered corporate cards, payments, and expense management tools, we streamline financial operations and help businesses scale. Our APIs enable businesses to integrate stablecoin-enabled finance into their own products and services—from issuing Visa cards to facilitating cross-border payments. Backed by leading investors including Acorn Pacific, Index Ventures and HashKey Capital, Reap is building the future of borderless, stablecoin-enabled finance. Why Reap? We are looking for an agile, commercially-minded Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel (5-7 PQE) to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of financial innovation, shaping the legal and regulatory strategy for our cutting-edge products. Operating in a high-velocity Fintech environment, you will partner closely with our leadership, product, and commercial teams. Whether you are drafting complex commercial agreements, guiding a new product from ideation to launch, or navigating the evolving global regulatory landscape of digital assets, your work will have a direct impact on our global expansion. What You'll Do Commercial Drafting & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including B2B customer contracts, SaaS agreements, API licensing, payment network agreements (e.g., Visa), and strategic partnerships. Product Counseling: Act as the embedded legal advisor to our Product and Engineering teams. Provide pragmatic, actionable advice on the design, launch, and scaling of card issuing products, cross-border payments, and stablecoin integrations. Regulatory & Compliance Strategy: Navigate complex, multi-jurisdictional regulatory frameworks relating to payments, digital assets, and data privacy. Assist in obtaining and maintaining financial licenses across key global markets. Strategic Problem Solving: Act as a trusted business partner, providing risk-balanced legal guidance that aligns with Reap’s "velocity and agile execution" culture. What We're Looking For Experience: 5 to 7 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal department. Subject Matter Expertise: Strong background in commercial, product, and/or financial regulatory law. Familiarity with global payments, corporate credit cards, or Web3/blockchain technology is highly preferred. Fintech & Fast-Paced Readiness: You thrive in high-velocity, ambiguous environments. You possess a "roll-up-your-sleeves" mentality and are comfortable managing multiple dynamic workstreams with competing deadlines. Commercial Acumen: You don’t just block risks; you build paths forward. You can quickly distill complex legal concepts into clear, commercial solutions for non-legal stakeholders. Mission-Driven Alignment: You embody our core belief that Anything Is Possible. You are a lifelong learner who adapts quickly and takes deep accountability for outcomes. Qualifications: Qualified to practice law in a recognized jurisdiction (e.g., Singapore, Hong Kong, UK, US, or Australia). Why You'll Love it Here A high-impact role in a rapidly growing fintech startup Flexible hybrid/remote work environment with a global, collaborative team Insurance coverage after probation Reap Card stipend and remote setup allowance Use of AI tools at work — and the space to learn, experiment, and grow with them A culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning After submitting your application, please check your inbox for a confirmation email.
