In this role as Senior Legal Counsel, you will work in a function that engages closely with the business. You will be responsible for providing constructive, professional, and business-focused legal advice and guidance to the business and management. Your responsibilities will include applying commercial, company, and competition laws, as well as IP, public procurement regulations, data protection, compliance, litigation management, and special projects.   Your role Main activities will consist of:   Acting as the sole lawyer for Turkey, handling all legal matters related to operations in the country. Contributing to business delivery by working with senior-level stakeholders through active engagement in legal matters. Taking a primary role in structuring, reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide variety of complex commercial and procurement-related contracts, with an emphasis on IT, outsourcing agreements, teaming agreements, software licences, etc. Advising on business tender processes, public procurement regulations, and data protection law. Providing general legal advice to the business. Taking a primary role in managing Turkey’s corporate governance and assisting the General Counsel with corporate governance matters as necessary. Proactively ensuring that Atos’ activities comply with applicable laws and that company strategies, policies, and programmes are applied. Assisting in managing third-party claims. Acting as an active team member and independent legal adviser to push projects forward or resolve challenges. Cooperating with the Atos Group Legal and Compliance Department and other specialised teams and central functions within the Atos Group. Supporting the implementation of Group policies and appropriate standards, practices, processes, and internal controls relating to business and legal matters. Supporting the development and delivery of focused training (classroom or e-learning).   You will report to the General Counsel for Middle East, Turkey & Africa within the Group Legal & Contract Management Team and will be based in Istanbul (Turkey). You will maintain regular contact with Legal Compliance Experts and other lawyers.   Your profile To be successful in this role, you need to personify a rich combination of experience, knowledge, skills, and personal attributes.    Key skills and experience: Degree in Law and qualification to practise as an in-house lawyer. 8+ years of experience in Company Law, Contract Law, and Litigation, preferably within an IT services organisation. Experience in the IT or technology sector, or a comparable industry and/or law firm, or in-house legal function. Proven experience working within a global legal community in a major organisation, including communication and training on legal policies. Strong background in conflict resolution within a multinational and multicultural environment. Ability to work independently, manage personal workload effectively, and thrive under pressure. Excellent team spirit, enthusiasm, motivation, flexibility, commercial acumen, and proactive problem-solving skills. Fluency in written and spoken English (working language) and Turkish; similar proficiency in Arabic and/or French would be a significant advantage. Responsibilities
The Senior Legal Counsel will act as the sole legal representative for Turkey, providing expert advice on commercial, corporate, and public procurement matters. They will lead the structuring and negotiation of complex IT and outsourcing contracts while ensuring organizational compliance with local and group policies.
