QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Degree in Law and must be good at liaising with external counsels.
  • Should have a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a similar Industry
  • Have a minimum experience of 3 years in handling M&A issues.
  • Must have in-house experience in the TIC industry and also have regional experience across the world.
  • Possess excellent legal analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills
  • Strong business acumen to understand business goals and strategy
  • Strong ability to solve problems and provide solution-driven advice
  • Ability to exercise sound commercial judgement when balancing legal risks against business benefits
  • Possess a high degree of professional ethics and integrity, and take ownership of outcomes
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people from different areas and locations at all levels
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work under pressure and tight timelines

. Proficiency in spoken, written, and reading Mandarin is an advantage, as the role involves communication with counsels in China and Taiwan.

Responsibilities

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts globally.
  • Handling M&A documentations, agreements, disputes, etc.
  • Liaise with third parties, including drafting contracts with customers and vendors, tender bundles, leases, non-disclosure agreements, etc.
  • Managing contractual issues and disputes, including liaising with external counsel and settlement of legal invoices.
  • Managing and providing sound and business-oriented legal support and guidance to the various business units on a wide variety of local and as well as global matters of the Group
  • Working closely with the business functions to ensure compliance with the applicable rules, laws and regulations and the Group’s policies.
  • Mitigate business risks with effective legal strategies and solutions
  • Maintaining the Group Legal Records and Archive
  • Assist in any assigned ad-hoc duties/projects
