THE VACANCY

TPT Retirement Solutions are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Legal Counsel to support a Maternity cover in our Legal team.
You will play a pivotal role in assisting the General Counsel in designing, implementing, and monitoring effective legal frameworks across the organisation. This is an opportunity to work collaboratively within a progressive team to ensure TPT meets its strategic goals efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, all while upholding TPT’s values.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Qualified solicitor with experience of legal counsel and risk management.
  • Experience of advising on and drafting defined benefit pension scheme documentation.
  • Experience of dispute-resolution.
  • Knowledge and experience of pension investments and defined contribution pensions schemes.
  • Commercial acumen and an understanding of the legal and regulatory environment.
    TPT supports hybrid working arrangements and flexible schedules to ensure a healthy work-life balance. This role is a fixed term contract for 12 months to cover maternity.

Responsibilities
  • Identifying and addressing legal risks while providing high-quality, expert legal advice to TPT.
  • Supporting the General Counsel in managing and advancing the legal support function by designing, embedding and monitoring robust legal and compliance frameworks across the organisation.
  • Drafting and approving legal documents that minimise risk and maximise legal rights for TPT’s operations.
  • Establishing, maintaining, and developing embedded legal practices aligned with TPT’s strategic goals.
  • Developing and delivering legal training, drafting policies and procedures, and promoting compliance with relevant legislation to enhance organisational effectiveness.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with external legal advisors to achieve excellence in resolving legal matters.
  • Offering advice on legal and regulatory changes impacting the organisation.
  • Advising on legal and governance matters, including occupational pension schemes.
