The primary purpose of this role is to deliver legal services to Allianz Australia’s Compulsory Third Party insurance (CTP), Workers Compensation and NDIS businesses (personal injuries businesses) ensuring operations are conducted within regulatory parameters and in compliance with relevant legislation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality pragmatic, commercial legal advice within agreed timeframes and scope relating to :
  • AAL’s personal injury business; and
  • the development, distribution, and marketing of AAL’s products.
  • Provide legal review and sign off on public facing documents.
  • Assess and communicate legal risk and guide decision making for optimal solutions aligned to commercial context and risk assessment.
  • Advise on, review, negotiate and draft changes to contracts used by, or provided to, the personal injury businesses and draft new contracts as required.
  • Monitor and, where appropriate, seek to influence changes in law which may affect the personal injury business and prepare the business for the impact of those changes.
