About the role: As a Senior Legal Counsel within Transurban’s Commercial Resolution & Disputes team, you’ll provide strategic legal support across disputes, litigation, regulatory investigations, and post‑completion design and construction matters. This role is pivotal in protecting Transurban’s legal and commercial interests through timely, practical advice. You’ll also contribute to board and stakeholder reporting, manage external legal advisors, and build strong relationships across the business and with external parties. Day‑to‑day, you will: Provide timely and cost‑effective legal advice across disputes, litigation, regulatory matters, and commercial risk Lead or support litigation, arbitration and expert determinations, including strategy, negotiations and settlements Manage regulatory investigations and inquiries, ensuring the organisation is properly advised and represented Oversee design and construction defect claims, offering strategic guidance and legal oversight Support claims‑prevention initiatives and stay connected to business activity to identify emerging legal risks Prepare board and stakeholder reporting and manage external legal advisors and specialist experts This role will suit someone with: 4+ years post‑qualification experience in disputes, claims management or regulatory investigations - working on civil infrastructure or major construction matters A demonstrated ability to anticipate legal risks, propose early solutions, and interpret complex commercial concepts Excellent relationship‑building, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in high‑pressure environments If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.
