SENIOR LEVEL HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIANS

Krauss Company is seeking experienced and career-minded Senior Level HVAC Service Technicians with strong commercial HVAC experience to join our Team. Krauss Company, serving the Pinellas and Hillsborough areas since 1924, is a progressive, growth-oriented company seeking Senior Level HVAC technicians for the Commercial sector (non-residential).

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The essential function of the SENIOR LEVEL HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN is to serve the customers of Krauss Company by providing general HVAC installation, repair and services with an emphasis on quality work, performed efficiently and following all applicable local and national codes. This position handles service calls to commercial to commercial and industrial businesses. The candidate must be able to work with inspectors, suppliers and co-worker technicians to ensure correct project work, while abiding by all codes. Must be able to draw simple diagrams and be able to read other diagrams. A candidate for this position must be willing to pursue, develop and participate in continuing education.

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• Complete all required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
• Work with and train any HVAC helpers which may be assigned to work with you.
• Maintain the equipment and inventory in your truck for maximum efficiency.
• Attend required department meetings.
• Attend company or vendor training as required.
• Maintain any necessary licenses or certifications which may apply.
• Exhibit professional conduct at all times, whether at the job site or driving company vehicles.
• Able to climb on ladders to access roof top units.
• Able to lift 75 lbs.
• Participate in an on-call rotation schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years minimum as an HVAC technician.
• Strong commercial/industrial large equipment experience. Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to include centrifugal chillers, air cooled and water cooled screw, scroll and reciprocating chillers, packaged rooftop units, split systems, boilers, pumps, cooling towers and building automation systems.
• Must have completed a diploma, degree or certificate program in the HVAC field.
• Must have completed specialized courses in commercial wiring practices and have a strong working knowledge of codes and safety measures.
• Very genuine and personable a must.
• Strong and steady work history.
• Efficient and organized.
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old with valid drivers license and clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must have a high level of mental and physical aptitude.
• Able to pass a Criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screening.
• Regular attendance required, must have reliable transportation.
