Digital Tea is looking for a Senior Web and Graphic Designer/Developer to join our team! If you have a passion for creating best-in-class website designs, an expert eye for aesthetics, and a strong understanding of UI/UX, we want to hear from you. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a busy, collaborative environment and can deliver flawless, mobile-responsive websites, web apps, and creative designs that exceed client expectations.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop killer-looking, fully responsive websites and design custom web apps with a strong emphasis on WordPress, Figma and UI/UX.
• Work with various WordPress theme builders (Avada, Divi, Elementor, etc.) and bring business requirements to life with minimal supervision.
• Participate in planning, design, infrastructure, site architecture discussions, retrospectives, and other activities as needed.
• Review and analyze specifications and design documents to determine project requirements.
• Possess excellent time and project management skills
• Provide quick turnaround (within 48 hours) on simple requests such as changing text or images on existing websites.
• Collaborate with clients and the Digital Tea team to manage multiple projects with exceptional quality.
• Incorporate your knowledge of SEO best practices into every project.
• Possess expert-level Adobe Creative Suite skills and knowledge.
• Possess expert-level CSS knowledge
• Have a thorough understanding of mobile-first design principles, and build each project with mobile-responsiveness in mind
• React productively and proactively to shifting priorities while maintaining a strong, client-first mindset.
• Participate in and contribute to company culture and team-building initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 8+ years of professional website design experience.
• Expertise: Advanced proficiency in WordPress, HTML5, CSS, with working knowledge of PHP and JavaScript.
• Expert-level design skills, with an eye for aesthetics and
• Strong understanding of UI/UX for both desktop and mobile.
• The ability to scrutinize and test one’s own work for quality, design, and responsiveness, and ensure it meets client requests and company standards.
• Solid knowledge of SEO requirements and best practices.
• Experience designing web and native OS apps.
• Proficiency in code versioning tools (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of unit testing and best practices.
• High proficiency in both print and digital graphic design.
• A degree/diploma in a related field is an asset.
• High proficiency in the English language (written and verbal).
